Who is The Shy Girl?

The Shy Girl can be a fun girl to meet if you play your game right.  While Shy Girls have a high correlation to prudishness, they aren’t necessarily true prudes.  They are definitely shy in public, it doesn’t mean that they will be shy behind closed doors or that they aren’t interested in talking when you meet them.

Shy girls, like a lot of shy guys, want to have good conversations and positive experiences but often don’t know how to make them happen.  This is part of your job as a player, helping her to get out of her shell a little bit and experience things in a different way than she could by herself.

One mistake that a lot of extroverts make (most players are extroverts whether naturally or by necessity) is that they assume if a Shy Girl is quiet that it means she isn’t having fun.  This is a false assumption and often leads to an otherwise strong interaction being cut short unnecessarily. Who Is The Worker Bee?

The Worker Bee’s most notable feature, as her name suggests, is that she is focused almost single-mindedly on her work and career.  She drank the Kool-Aid and honestly believes that having a career of super long work days and no weekends off is the key to success and happiness.

Because of this, there’s a very good chance that if you meet or even date a Worker Bee, you likely won’t ever know very much about her or her personality.  Much of her sense of self-worth comes from her job, so she most likely works in some sort of high status position such as for Samsung or LG. Any personality outside of working, having dinner with coworkers, and complaining about work will be minimal to nonexistent.

Because of this heavy investment in her studies and career, the Worker Bee’s looks are very rarely optimal.  They tend to dress and groom themselves in a more practical manner than one that emphasizes beauty. Most Worker Bees tend to have shorter hair as it’s easy to maintain, and they rarely wear heels if they can get away with it.  You’ll have to break her of the habit of wearing teacher dresses and mom jeans if you want to be proud when you take her in public. A trip to the local department store for a makeover will do wonders for her looks and make her feel much prettier around you. A lot of them will appear somewhat frumpy at first but may be hiding a gem beneath. Compliment her appearance when she tries hard, but discourage her bad fashion and makeup decisions. What’s going on players?!

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’ve had an… extended hiatus here.  More specifically, I’ve been missing in action from this site for about a year and a half.

What happened to you, Jack?  Are you still in Korea? Are you even still alive?  I got these questions and many more like them in my inbox every single week for the last 18 months or so.

First of all, yes I’m still alive.  Yes, I’m still answering all my emails and yes, I’m still teaching guys how to be successful with Korean women.  Worry not, young padawan, Papa Jack is still kicking, playing, and going strong!

A lot has changed in my life since I last wrote.  Part of that has been by choice and part of it has been an inevitable change and growth as I’ve been growing older.  Overall, these changes have all been a net positive for me, and for you dear reader, they will surely be a boon to you as I now have more stories and experiences to share with you as I guide you down the precarious path of pooze. This last week I got an email from my good friend Sinapse over at Attraction Japan asking to do a podcast together and talk about the similarities and differences between pickup in Japan and Korea.

We sat down together and talked for a little more than an hour about all sorts of things from meeting women on the street to our daily lives and how important the language barrier is in each country.

Some other topics we touched on include:

-Our expectations vs. the reality of picking up girls in Japan and Korea

-Our own beginnings with game, what brought us to it, and how we began learning it

-What our bread and butter game is like

-What mistakes guys often make when they first arrive in East Asia

We had a great time talking about all this stuff, and I think there’s a lot of stuff in there for readers from Korea, Japan, or anywhere in the world.  One universal truth about game is that game is universal everywhere – just with different styles and variations.

The Weirdest First Date

Today I’m going to try something new on request from several readers.  Instead of just giving advice or explaining situations, I’m telling an actual story of something that happened during my time dating around here in Korea.  If I get a favorable response from these, I’ll continue telling my other stories as well.  Some will be of success, some will be of failure, and some will just be of the notably weird, but all will be true and show a part of the dating life as a foreigner in Korea.

Anyone who dates around a lot is bound to have some pretty weird first date stories, and I am no stranger to bad first dates.  This particular girl however even surprised me with how incredibly weird and awkward she made our first date.

This story happened back in May, when I was not drinking for a month as an experiment to see if I could still get laid completely sober.  I had hooked up with an airline stewardess who lived nearby on a Tuesday night and the next morning we took my dog, Simba, out for a walk and she was heading home.  A few minutes after parting ways with the stewardess, I saw a cute girl also walking a dog.

Simba, being much like me, ran up to the other one and started trying to hump it immediately.  The girl and I both laughed and started talking.  After about a 15 minute chat, she asked for my number (a huge signal of interest) and we parted ways, agreeing to meet up on Friday for a date.

She immediately began messaging me regularly with great enthusiasm, always a good sign.  We banter back and forth for a couple of days and she seems genuinely excited about the date.

Now before I get to the date, let me tell you a little about the girl.  She’s 22, very cute but not sexy, exactly the style I normally go for.  Probably a 6-8 on most guys’ scales, depending on how much you like the cute factor.  She speaks minimal to no English, so we’re communicating entirely in Korean.  Because of these factors, I can immediately rule her out as being a Foreigner Lover.  She tells me that she doesn’t drink at all, so she’s not an Attention Whore or an Alcoholic, and she just recently broke up with her first and only boyfriend so she’s likely not a Slut.  I narrow down that she’s probably a mix between a Prude and a Friend.
