By this point, I assume that everyone here knows how I feel about Tinder. It’s a garbage heap and not worth your time, even compared to other online dating apps. You’ll get better quality results on something like OKCupid or Match. But if you want the real results with Korean women in an app that’s actually worth your time and effort?

Gotta use Meeff.

I know, the name is stupid. It’s so dumb that when my friend first told me about it, I almost didn’t use it because of the name alone. Don’t make that mistake though, this app is the best place to meet good Korean women.

Well, that’s not entirely true… Approaching in real life still gives better results and quality over the long term. But you can’t do that while you’re taking a dump, now can you?

Meeff in, in function, the same as Tinder. You see someone’s profile and swipe left or right. If you match, then it opens a chat room that you can use to talk to them.

What makes Meeff different from Tinder or OKC isn’t that it has the hottest girls or that they’re instantly down to bang. The real reason that Meeff is superior is because of the type of girl that this app attracts. [Read more…] about The Tinder Killer

How to Tinder in Korea – Part 4

Here we go players, it’s time for the final installment in The Seoul Player’s Guide to Tindering in Korea: The Date. We’re going to go over the details, specifics, and logistics of taking out a Tinder date in Korea for a (hopefully) successful evening.

JULIUS: One of the best things about Tinder is that it skips the approaching and trying to get a woman interested in you and replaces it with a right swipe. In other words, you’re not there to work on that. That part has been done for you. So once you begin messaging and things are going smoothly, you’ll just have to figure out when and where to meet.

Some women might want to meet within the day of matching, while others wait about a week or so to see how you are as a person. How to Tinder in Korea – Part 3

Today Julius and I will be discussing what many people find to be the hardest part of online dating: Messaging. As always, Julius and I have completely different styles that complement our different personalities. Read the advice from each of us and apply what best fits who you are.

Messaging

JULIUS: Messaging on here is incredibly easy. After a match, you’re given the opportunity to message. I find that first sending a message about one of her pictures, usually complimenting her beauty and striking conversation on whatever they’re doing or wherever they happen to be in the picture as a fail proof way of getting her interested. If you just message “hey” or “sup”, or worse… a cheesy pickup line (unless intentionally comedic) you’re probably not going to get much notice. Especially taking Korean women into consideration that the majority do not have the fluency you possess of the English language will mean that they will either take it literally or just flat out not understand what you’re saying. How to Tinder in Korea – Part 2

JULIUS: Arguably the most arbitrary reason for which direction we swipe on a person and likely why we use tinder are because of their profile pictures. This is what will determine 99% of a woman’s interest in you. Just as how we judge them for their pictures and swipe, they do the same albeit at a much harsher rate. For my friends that complain about their lack of success on tinder is usually due to the quality and content of their pictures. Since tinder allows you to connect your Facebook profile, be sure to choose your best pictures. Ensure success by making your profile picture your best picture. Like any dating website, your profile picture is what you use to get their attention and what usually leaves a lasting impression. So make it the one that counts the most. Make it interesting. How? Being in South Korea shows that you’ve probably traveled to other places and seen some interesting things. Put a picture of you standing in front of a palace or other historical monuments. Been to another country? Show pictures of yourself visiting those places. I’ve used photos of myself visiting Japan and Thailand to garner interest and help with conversation with a match. Make yourself look interesting doing things most people have never done before, like mountain hiking or posing in one of Asia’s many skyscrapers with a sweeping view of the city behind you. seoulplayer tinder koreaHey there, players!  I’ve received a lot of interest and feedback asking for more information about Tinder in Korea.  I am personally not a big fan of it, but I recognize that there is a desire to hear more advice about it.  Fortunately for you guys, my close friend Julius likes Tinder and has a lot to say about it.
